For those who think they are not leaders, everyone has someone watching you, that means everyone is a leader, you choose how you lead in your life.

This quote is from Timothy Ferriss’ book Tribe of Mentors.

This quote is a reminder to me that when something fails, it is a lesson on the path to success, I’ve heard that somewhere before too.  Every time someone explains a failure, most often this is at work where someone hasn’t followed the process, or the process isn’t well defined, what happened was not included, or sufficient clarity was not provided.  The”failure” in these cases, I take as opportunities to add value to the process from the lesson learnt.

I like this quote for, hopefully, obvious reasons. When you try to do something different, people in general don’t like the change, particularly the narrow and small minded ones. Those that love to learn are the ones that will say “Go get some!”, hey Jocko.

This quote is a reminder of how we sometimes think things are too hard, or not possible, because we are trying to think about how it is done.  I have learnt it is better to be working towards a goal that you don’t know how to achieve, than to stay within your own knowledge limitations.  This way you learn something new on the path to achieving the goal.

I am not sure where I got Today’s quote from. This reminds me to always listen to other people’s ideas, and discuss ideas in a collective. In the book,  “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, there is a chapter about the “Power of the Mastermind”. That is when we discuss things as a group and more ideas come out than if we were to think on the idea ourselves.

Today’s quote is not from a podcast, it is from Richard Branson’s Top 10 quotes for Family.

It is important to note here that family means a lot of different things to people. Sometimes it is the blood line of relatives, sometimes it is those close to you. Whichever way it is, Family are those that don’t judge you, accept you the way you are, and let you know if they think you need to know (this could be anything from you are being a jerk, to letting you know you are doing the right thing when everyone else thinks you aren’t).

In the end, you rule your own life, just remember your family is always there for you.
